Helen grew gardens, made soap, canned, made rugs, made cream by the barrel full, and sold it to a market in Tennessee.
Raised Turkeys, butchered them and sold them by the barrel full to a market in Memphis, Tenn.
Durring the Winter she Carded the wool with a pair of hand cards, spun the tread on her spinning wheel, then knitted
our stockings, socks, and gloves.
Medical remedy for sickness was a mixture o fkerosene, turpentine, and lard which was rubbed on and baked in.
