William Harrison was a descendant of the great Gen. Harrison who held a commission under Cromwell. These grandparents
immigrated to Virginia and settled in either Berkeley or Charles city co. early in the last century. His father's name
was also William Harrison, and he was bron in Berkely, VA abt 1730. William married twice and was
the father of 23 children.
William Harrison farmed all his life yet never owned a farm.
His brother Benjamin Harris was a Signer of the Declaration of Independence and a very
wealthy and influential man
